Assist with the running of your local Open Road Centres in a variety of ways.
Festival Volunteer
Our main aim is to keep people safe at festivals by reducing the harms caused by alcohol and other drugs.
Appropriate Adult Service
The Essex Appropriate Adult Service operates at Essex Police custody suites in police stations across Essex, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Community Fundraising Volunteer
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support our fundraising team to organise local fundraising activities and events throughout the year.
Recovery Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Open Road, currently we are working within Covid-Secure guidelines that limit the opportunities we can give to supporting and developing volunteers within our Substance Misuse teams.
SOS Buses – volunteering
We operate SOS Bus services in Colchester High Street and Chelmsford every Saturday and some Friday nights.
Digital Fundraising Volunteer
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Digital Fundraising Volunteers to become part of our fundraising team to help us develop and deliver Open Road’s new and exciting digital fundraising initiatives.

Our fundraising team value the support of friendly and enthusiastic volunteers, and welcome support from those who are able to use there persuasive writing skills to help Open Road win new funding that will support us to sustain, increase and develop
