Thurrock Young Person Drug and Alcohol Service (YPDAS)

Who are we?

We service we deliver is strictly confidential and we will give honest information about how we work. We provide education and advice around substance misuse, the risks and how to minimise them. With our support you set your own goals, whether this is stopping your use, reduction or general education.

We work with people aged 10-17 years and 18-29 years, for those who are using drugs and/or alcohol. We can also help if you are worried about a friend or family members substance misuse.

With the right help and support, it’s possible for you to stay safe and get drug free. We work to raise awareness around substance misuse and provide support and advice for you and your family. Our service is free and confidential and includes:

  • Advice and information
  • One-to-one with a specialist substance misuse worker
  • Telephone and virtual support
  • Group activitie
  • NEET Support (for those not in education, employment or training)
  • Sexual health advice
  • Help to access other services
  • Hidden Harm support

To make a referral

Professionals can complete the attached referral form and send it to thurrockYPreferral@openroad.org.uk. If you have a secure email you can send it to thurrockYPreferral@openroad.org.uk (secure email, can only accept CJSM/NHS.net and other government secure emails).
