Criminal Justice Employment Team

Our Criminal Justice & Mental Health Employment service is open to anyone who faces barriers to employment, including convictions, mental health problems, homelessness, learning difficulties, etc. No matter what stage of your employment search you’re at, whether you’ve had lots of jobs or no job, if you have the desire to work, our Employment Specialists can help that dream become reality.

You will be assigned a dedicated Employment Specialist to help you find work. They will also be able to help you understand and deal with any impact work might have on your benefits. It is a common mistake to think that if you work, you will lose your benefits, but that is not the case, especially if your job is part-time.

Your employment specialist will help you find a job that is suited to you and your life, and their support is not time-limited. If you lose a job, they will help you find another one. They will also support your employer so that your boss understands the extra support and special requirements that you might have.

Even if you decide you are not ready for employment, the Employment Specialist can also help you find volunteering opportunities or a pathway into education or training.

No matter what your situation, being in work and making positive use of your time helps you, so let us help you take the next step. Talk to your Probation worker, Phoenix Futures worker, or any professional that might be supporting you; they can make a referral for you.

Alternatively, you can self-refer by contacting the details below.
