Criminal Justice Services

Open Road provides Criminal Justice Services which are aimed at safeguarding communities and reducing offending within the community. These services work mainly with offenders, and sometimes their families, to support and assist them in addressing the issues which cause, or may cause them to offend. Volunteer workers are a crucial element of our Criminal Justice work – they are trained to provide specialist support to each service.

Military Corrective Training Centre

The MCTC is operated by the Armed Forces and provides corrective training for those servicemen and women sentenced to periods of detention; it is not a prison.

Appropriate Adult Service

The Essex Appropriate Adult Service operates at Essex Police custody suites in police stations across Essex, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
