IPS – Individual Placement Support Service (Employment Services)

Our IPS Individual Placement Support service is open to all our service users. No matter what stage of your recovery journey if you have an interest in or the desire to work, whether a return to work or your first job – our Open Road Employment specialists can help that thought become a reality.

You will be assigned a dedicated employment specialist to help you find work. They will also be able to help you understand and deal with any impact work might have on your benefits. It is a common mistake to think that if you work you will lose your benefits but that is not the case, especially if your job is part time.

Your employment specialist will help you find a job that is suited to you and your life and their support is not time limited. If you lose a job, they will help you find another one. They will also support you employer so that your boss understands the extra support and special requirements that you might have.

Being in work helps your recovery so let us help you take the next step. Talk to your recovery worker at Open Road if you would like to be referred into employment support.

If you are an employer reading this; then unleash the potential that our service users have to offer you. For more information on the specific employer support aspects of IPS please contact matthew.gauden@openroad.org.uk  or telephone 07538 751338.
