Essex Women’s Support Service (Essex CRC)

Essex Women’s Support Service is available to women being released from prison and those who are on community orders (Probation).

Referrals can be received directly from the Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC).

Essex Women’s Support Service operates regular women-only drop-in and reporting sessions in locations across the county. We offer one-to-one mentoring to support women in achieving their goals. We also run a mandatory 8 week programme which covers a range of issues such as relationships, confidence and self-esteem, health and empowerment.

Our mentors also offer practical advice and support to women on a range of topics including budgeting, debt, benefits, housing, access to training & employment and mental health. We can also assist with filling in forms or attending appointments.

Often, and most importantly of all, our mentors provide a non-judgmental, listening ear and offer emotional support to women who may be socially isolated, lacking in confidence and in need of someone to talk to.

We are looking for volunteer mentors for our Women’s Support Service! Find out more
