We were delighted to recently welcome the High Sheriff of Essex, Simon Brice to Open Road’s Colchester head office to meet our staff, volunteers and clients, and hear more about our vital work in helping vulnerable people throughout Essex and Medway.
Our guests included Open Road Patron Lord Risby of Haverhill, Chair of Trustees Nick Alston, Trustee John Aldridge and Chief Executive Sarah Wright. During his visit, the High Sheriff presented a very well deserved award to our Essex volunteer group for their unstinting dedication and support to our charity – we literally couldn’t do what we do without our 200 volunteers and so we were delighted they received this fantastic accolade. The award was presented to Criminal Justice & Welfare Area Manager, Steve Wood (left in shot, in photo).
Our very many thanks to the High Sheriff for giving his time to visit us. Also, thank you to all of our guests, we hope you thoroughly enjoyed your time with us.
It was a really positive event; our first since the pandemic struck, and in this, our 30th anniversary year, we were incredibly pleased to be able to welcome everyone to celebrate Open Road’s work.
