Open Road are Charity Heroes Finalists

We were thrilled to attend Benefact Group’s Charity Heroes award event in November at the Tower of London as a finalist in the Community Initiative category, sponsored by WRS Insurance Brokers.

Benefact Group said of the event, “Our finalists gathered at the iconic Tower of London On November 28th to enjoy a day of celebration as we congratulated the winners and runners-up in this year’s Charity Heroes Awards.  It was an inspiring event, hosted by Dr Andy Cope from the Art of Brilliance with speeches from Tom O’Leary from Historic Royal Palaces and Mark Hews, CEO of the Benefact Group. Representatives from around the Benefact Group came to meet the finalists and were thrilled to present the winners’ prizes.  We felt very privileged to welcome so many people who work every day to make such impactful change in the lives of others. Congratulations our winners and runners-up.”

We were represented on the day by SOS Bus Coordinator, Nicky Best and PA to Open Road’s Chief Executive, Nici Hardie, who say they met so many incredible charities on the day – it was a very inspiring and humbling day.  As finalists, we were delighted to be awarded £1,000.  Thank you to Benefact Group and WRS for a brilliant day and for supporting so many charities, raising the awareness of what we all do.  To be a finalist in these awards is a fantastic acknowledgement to Open Road’s amazing SOS teams for all the work they do in local communities – well done and thank you to everyone involved!
