This event will be a chance to celebrate and mark the end of our 35th year, which is an incredible milestone for Open Road. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate 35 years of supporting people, families and communities. Join us for a special afternoon as we celebrate the end of Open Road’s 35th year of transforming lives across Essex and beyond.
Set in the stunning Layer Marney Tower, this unique fundraising event will bring together supporters, staff, volunteers, partners and the local community to celebrate 35 years of recovery and resilience.
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll hear from a range of powerful and inspiring speakers, including Open Road’s history and what our future may look like. There will be stories from the Old Bailey Court in London and information about the beautiful venue, Layer Marney Tower. Together, our guests will share personal reflections on recovery, community and the impact Open Road continues to have.

Guests are encouraged to bring along a picnic to enjoy throughout the afternoon. You are welcome to relax and eat within the beautiful grounds and venue while enjoying the entertainment and activities, making it a wonderful way to spend a late summer afternoon with family and friends. Whether you’ve supported Open Road for many years or are discovering our work for the first time, we’d love you to join us for an afternoon of celebration, reflection and fundraising.
