This year, Open Road celebrates the 30th anniversary of our founding in 1990. We are delighted to invite you and a guest to our Thanksgiving and Celebration event at 7pm on Wednesday 17th November, at Chelmsford Cathedral. The evening will include refreshments and light catering; the event will conclude at 9pm. We very much hope that you will be free to join us.
In our 30 years, Open Road has provided services of many sorts across Essex, North Kent and beyond, originally – and still – supporting those recovering from addiction. We continue this vital work and also support many more; through SOS buses in Chelmsford, Colchester, the City of London and at music festivals, our Appropriate Adult Service supports those in police or Border Force custody, and many other specialist services and remarkably successful partnerships, for example, supporting young offenders in prison at HMP Cookham Wood in Kent.
Our Essex and Medway centres in Harlow, Basildon, Chelmsford, Clacton, Colchester, Chatham and Gillingham give us a wide reach and we are proud to have maintained core services throughout the pandemic.
We do hope you and a guest can join us on 17th November and look forward to seeing you. We remain mindful of the changeable situation around Covid-19 and, if things change nearer the event, we will be in touch to let you know.
To confirm attendance, please RSVP to Sarah’s PA, Nici Hardie on nici.hardie@openroad.org.uk by Monday 8th November, to allow us to finalise numbers.
With very best wishes and our many thanks for your vital support to our charity.
Kind regards
Nick Alston, Chair of Trustees & Sarah Wright, Chief Executive
