Engagement Worker, Chelmsford, Essex

£20,400 per annum
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

Summary

The Engagement Worker manages the Open Access service including the Needle Exchange, and works with service users, encouraging them to engage with a wide range of treatment options and harm reductions strategies.


What you’ll be doing

You will manage a caseload in line with the service model, while recruiting and supervising the Open Access volunteer team. Adequate resourcing of the Open Access is a high priority, along with providing effective recovery management.

What you need –

- 2 years experience working with substance misuse
- Experience of multi-agency working
- Experience in the delivery of recovery and outcome focused environments
- Ability to observe confidentiality protocols and boundaries, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Clear understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of personal I.T. competency
