Treatment at Colchester is varied; we have the more informal setting of the Drop In, where any client who has a substance misuse problem can come and discuss their difficulties, or just have a quiet space to sit in, alongside the more formal aspect of our treatment plans for individual clients.

Our Drop In is often busy, but can provide support and help in many ways, including ear acupuncture (on a daily basis), herbal teas, or just support and advice. We also have a Needle Exchange, where clients can come and discuss, confidentially, aspects of harm minimisation, and safe practice. Clients do not need appointments to access these services, and are welcome at any time we are open.

The other aspect to our work is in providing a treatment package for clients and their families. We do this by assessing the individual’s need, and then planning a treatment journey with the client to enable them to make changes in their lives. The package can include many of the therapies that are mentioned further on in the website.

Our opening times are Monday – Friday 10am – 1pm, 1pm – 5pm, and Thursday 6pm-8pm.
