Mid-Essex Centre - Braintree
The Mid-Essex service started in Chelmsford, working from the statuary alcohol & drug centre ‘Changes in Chelmsford’. On March 21st 2005 we opened our own premises at 9 Coggeshall Road in Braintree, making Mid-Essex our newest centre. We still offer a service at Changes providing, keyworking, counselling and auricular acupuncture for one day per week. All body therapies are available at our Braintree site.
We cover the largest geographical area of the three Open Road centres, from the Denji up to Halstead, and receive referrals from various professionals including, other agencies, G.P’s, hospitals, prisons, as well as self referrals. Clients are encouraged to make initial appointments themselves, so helping them to start taking responsibility for their steps to recovery.
The services provided are assessments, keyworking, counselling, acupuncture/Chinese herbs, shiatsu, aromatherapy, homeopathy and aftercare. We also provide a drop in and needle exchange.
