Aftercare
Welcome to the Open Road Aftercare Programme. This caters for clients that live in Essex, and are aged 19 years or over. Clients need to have completed, for example, an appropriate rehab programme, or a detoxification programme. We also accept people who are abstinent, or who are on a DTTO/DRR. (Drug Treatment and Testing Order/Drug Rehabilitation Requirement)
An Aftercare Worker is allocated to the clients, and will put together a care plan. This will contain a personalised package of services provided by Open Road to other relevant services. Clients may be assessed as suitable for Open Road counselling and body therapies (e.g. aromatherapy, shiatsu). We can also help with housing and benefits.
At present there are aftercare support groups that are run weekly. These provide a facilitated space for the clients to have support, to talk, and explore issues related to maintaining their recovery. The purpose and ground rules of the group are agreed by the group and can be reviewed when necessary. |
